11 August 2010 ~ 1st Day of School

To begin each day at DAIS the students line up out on the steps to the entrance of the school. Each class has a cone with a meter stick sticking out of it and a picture of their teacher’s smiling face (or in my case a very tired face) at the top. It’s the coolest idea…the kids know right where to line up (once they know what their teacher looks like, of course!). All the classes, pre-K through fifth grade, line up out front and patiently wait for school to start.
