It snowed again today! Watching gentle, fluffy, silent snowflakes fall to the earth has such a calming effect on me. And to take a walk in a snow storm is on my top ten list of the things I absolutely love to do in life. There is nothing that compares to the utter silence of snowfall and muffled, crunching footsteps as you trudge through it.
Just down the street from Campus Village is a very bizarre "park" with a pond, abandoned cabins, and dinosaur statues. No one know exactly what it's all about, but it sure makes for an interesting walk, especially when it's snowing. April and I bundled up and went crunch, crunching away....
We heard the saddest meow, meow and when I turned around I laid my eyes upon the most adorable cat who looked very much like my Maggy Mae. I fell instantly in love and she snuggled right in.
She followed us all the way out to the gate meowing away and rubbing up against our legs. She was the sweetest thing!
Happy cat. Happy Kimberly. I sure miss my Maggy. Walking with this cat was a very bittersweet moment for me.
Once we were back at the gate, the kitty turned around and headed back home. I was very sad and very relieved all at the same time.
