5 March 2011 ~ DAIS International Day

Our parent organization put on the most incredible International Day today. Our new gym was lined with over 25 booths from different countries displaying national flags, maps, books and all kinds of goodies native to each country. It was quite impressive!

All the elementary children sang a beautiful international song.

Groups dressed in traditional clothing came up to present a song or dance. Here is everyone on stage after the presentations.
This is Katy, one of our Mandarin teachers. She and I are becoming fast friends. She's such a dear person!

My students did a special Ancestor Doll Project. Thanks, Betsy and Ann, for sharing! They turned out incredibly great!

The fifth grade students did a Dragon Dance for the Year of the Rabbit.
