6 March 2011 ~ DaHeiShan Peak

April and I took another hike across DaHeiShan (Big Black Mountain) Peak today.
Steps leading up to Guan Yin Temple
Braces Buddha!!

April tying her good luck ribbon at the entrance to the temple and making a wish.
Mini temple at the temple

Gifts of bread at altar
Very tall Buddha

Another Laughing Buddha
One can't help but smile when seeing these faces...

Lighting incense

View from temple
I will be a happy woman when spring is here and all this is green again.
Leaving the temple to head up DaHeiShan
Potties--when ya gotta go, ya gotta go!
The sad part of living in China...
This is just at the base of the temple steps. : ( As I tied one of my red cloths on a tree, my wish was for China to become environmentally aware and start taking care of this precious earth.
And up DaHeiShan we go....
There was still quite a bit of snow on the ground, so...
...we made snowpeople! : )

Looking back to what we hiked over.
Temple in the haze

Rubbing Buddha's belly for good luck

The last part of the hike was along a stream...a stream of ice.
