You know how fair rides in the States are so scary? How ya never quite know how well maintained or put together they are? Well...try an amusement ride in China!
As we were leaving Anshan's 219 Park, Nancy and I just had to try the Ferris Wheel. Claire...no go!! There was no way we were getting her up on that thing!
Claire even said the 500 on the sign (the only thing we Americans and Canadian could decipher) meant that only 500 people had died on this ride and would you like to be 501?
After Nancy heard this comment from the peanut gallery, she needed a little encouragement from me...
...and up we went!
And after I saw the rust...
...I needed a little encouragement from Nancy. There was no turning back now...
It was a beautiful view out over the Jade Buddha Garden Temples though.

And the sun sets over the ferris wheel once again as we make it safely back to earth. No harm, no foul!
What a great, action packed day. And it was only the first of our holiday! : )
