12 November 2010 ~ Top of Dragon Mountain

It's getting dark mighty early these days, so April and I dashed right out of work this afternoon to make it up to the top of Dragon Mountain before it was too dark to make it back down. Once at the peak, we were greeted with an amazing 360 degree veiw of Jinshitan, the Yellow Sea and Longshan Valley. The moon was out, you could see forever, the air was crisp and clean, and the colors in the sky were just breathtaking! A moment that will live in our memory banks for quite some time.

Looking out over Longshan Valley and
Dalian American International School.
Looking out over the lights of Jinshitan
and the blue of the Yellow Sea.
There was this funky building at the top. You see the strangest things in the strangest places here in China. It had a little room inside and a platform at the top, but no staircase. April's strength and gymnastic agility got her to the top!
The moon over the Yellow Sea.
April soaring like an eagle...
I'm on top of the world and loving life!
