27 November 2010, Part 4 ~ Yuyuan Garden

We certainly took the right path to explore because it led us to Yuyuan Garden.
Yu in Chinese means pleasing and satisfying. I was ever so pleased and satisfied walking through this amazing, quintessentially Chinese garden.
Again, the detail and craftmanship at the peak of each roof was exquisite.
The entrance to the garden.
Loved the signs and names...
Double archways

Lovin' the lions!
Getting a bit artsy with the camera.
Considering it was almost December, we were surprised to see the fall color.
Just beautiful!
The path weaved its way through the garden and many archways.

Can you find Kimberly?
I'd never seen a ginkgo biloba tree...
...very pretty with fall colors.

Dragon Wall

Heart Man!

While exploring the garden, a woman came up and asked if we would like to partake in a tea ceremony. I jumped at the chance!
She led us into a beautiful room and down we sat as she poured the tea.

It was just like wine tasting with a menu of the teas and all...
Breathtaking fall colors.

The other side of Dragon Wall.

Gorgeous tree below Dragon Wall

Very short tree...
We explored the aptly named Jade Magnificence Hall.

The exit of the Yuyuan Garden.
More detail on roof.
And more...
What a find! We loved this place!
